Porter Novelli UK is really pleased to share the news that Sally Ward has joined Porter Novelli as partner and managing director of our UK operations. She will be responsible for managing and growing our UK business as well as developing opportunities for UK-based clients on a worldwide basis.

Sally has a 20-year track record of growing business both domestically and across borders in industries including health care, technology, food and consumer packaged goods. She spent five years in various capacities with Weber Shandwick in the UK, guiding the firm’s consumer practice during a period of explosive growth and implementing a talent management program for a UK staff of 300.  She left Weber at the end of 2006 as the firm’s European vice chairman.

Most recently, Sally was founder and director of Plum Consulting, an executive search, talent management and senior-level coaching and mentoring firm.  She has sourced and placed candidates for leading UK communications firms as well as for the public sector and well-known global brands.

It also marks Sally’s return to Porter Novelli. She spent seven years with the agency during a very successful period in the mid-90s and early 2000s as a portfolio director and later as the agency’s UK development director, responsible for new business, marketing and creativity initiatives.

We’re all delighted to have Sally join us but we’re also sorry to see Jean Wyllie leave.  Jean has been a fantastic leader, showing incredible integrity, honesty and wisdom and looking after everyone at the company.  Jean – we wish you all the best.
